By this time next year Remembrance Day should be a National Holiday by way of a private members bill introduced by NDP member Dan Harris.
What Canadians can start thinking about now, is what they will do on this day in 2015.
First off, we cant treat this just like any holiday, we need to treat this with the honour and respect for the purpose in which it was created.
Attending a Remembrance Day ceremony is the first thing that you can do, followed by attending your local cemetery and planting a Canadian Flag on a veterans grave. There is no reason now why we can not achieve 100% coverage of all Canadian Veterans in Canada in having a flag placed on their grave as all of us have the day off work, and no school for the children.
This we need to start planning now, and all Canadians can and should be part of it.
