Repatriation set for Wednesday May 6 2020

This Wednesday May 6, 2020 will be the repatriation of our 6 fallen heroes. Date and times are always approx, weather depending but should be good for this one.

Departure Trenton approx 3:30pm-4pm and then head to the Coroners Office in Toronto.

Due to Covid-19 we are asking all that do attend the Highway of Heroes on the bridges to make sure you have proper social distancing to keep safe.

Over the years thousands have also simply pulled over on the side of the road to pay their respects, this may be an option you might want to consider to stay safe.

We are also asking all Canadians to join our “Virtual Highway of Heroes” and post a picture and sign of support on our social media pages, please use the hashtags #CanadiaHeroes and #HighwayOfHeroes.

We will also be live streaming the event, details of that are on our face book page.

Please note that the Coroners office has moved, it is no longer downtown, and is now at Keele and the 401.

Front Line Responders Canada Stands Behind You

We are living in some very challenging times around the world right now, and we wanted to reach out to all our front line responders and let them know that “WE” are here to help you in any way that we can!

When we say “WE” that does not just mean our foundation, but it means each and every Canadian is here cheering you on and thanking you for your service to keep us all safe and healthy.

We will immediately be launching a new series of thanking our front line responders today, the premise is very simple, if you know of a front line responder then let them know we want to tell Canada and the world their story!

Send us a picture of them working or relaxing, or even making silly faces to lighten the mood!

Remember we are all in this together, and at the end of the day all we have is each other.

Stay safe everyone!

General Rick Hillier Hockey Jersey

I found a hockey jersey the other day that I bid on and won at a charity event for Camp Maple Leaf probably some 8 years ago or so, at the Ex in Toronto. The jersey is signed on the front and also has an inscription on the back. I remember this event as I also brought 2 Silver Cross mothers to the event as well. I am sure this jersey if I remember correctly General Hillier wore in a game up pick up hockey with the troops, if anyone has a memory or pictures of that event please let us know, share your story or correct us on the event. The date on the jersey on the back reads March 2008.
