Thinking of the children who lost their Daddies in Moncton. I wrote this for them.
My Daddy tucked me into bed and kissed me good night
I didn’t know it would be the last time he would turn out my light
My Daddy was a brave man. Kind and strong as could be
But today while at his job something terrible happened that makes no sense to me
Mommy is crying. Her heart is breaking
As she tries to explain to me that my Daddy has been taken
Taken to live with the Angels and I can’t help but shed a tear
He was my Daddy and I want him here
Dear God help me to understand why my Daddy was taken by this man
Help me and my family as we put Daddy to rest
Tell him I love him and will always do my best
You have gained an Angel who is one of a kind
He was the best Daddy ever and he was mine.
