Operation Canadian Heroes is well underway with our distribution of Canadian Flags to be placed on our veterans graves on Remembrance Day.
The official 1st placement will be on Remembrance Day this year, I will place a flag on my fathers grave. The “Official Launch ” will be the same day, and world-wide deployment aimed for 2015.
Our initial shipment of 10,000 flags is quickly running out and the majority shipment will come shortly, which is over 100,000.
Op Canadian Heroes is simple in mention but complex in its entirety.
Every veteran no matter were they are buried will have a Canadian Flag placed on their grave on Remembrance Day.
This is over 100,000 soldiers buried in 75 Countries.
We have flags here in Hamilton, those that want to take part here is what you need to do.
1. Find your local cemetery in your neighbourhood, and locate the veterans graves. Each part of Canada is different, some small hamlets may have a few only and large cities could have dozens of different burial locations.
2. Engage your friends, family, schools, cadets, etc… we need boots on ground to get this done.
3. If you have contacts in the 75 Countries were we have soldiers that are buried, let them know, we need their help there, or better yet take your 1 week of vacation time and jump on a plane, you will be serving your Country and getting some R & R at the same time.
Stay tuned for further details, this article will be updated …
