For those who may not know, the Canadian veterans who visit Korea each year have their airfares paid for at 50% by the Korean Government and any caregiver that accompanies them at 30%. All expenses in Korea are free and paid for by the Government of Korea. Canadian veterans are provided this benefit once every five years if they want to return a second time.
Since 1975, the Korean Government has assisted with the airfare or more than 30,000 Korean War veterans.
