A firefighter has been lost responding to a call in Amherstview, Ont.
“Patrick Pidgeon served two tours in Afghanistan. He was a veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces and Correctional Services Canada. Patrick also devoted his time to the Loyalist Township Emergency Services. Patrick was responding to an apartment fire on the night of 16 July 2016. This would be Patrick’s last call for service. Pat was a leader in his multiple branches of service. A mentor, friend and genuine person. He had the ability to always boost his teams morale with his sense of humour. You will be greatly missed by all of your colleagues. Rest easy my friend.”
