I think I have a drinking problem. A moment of self-awareness for those soldiers and front line responders trying to find calm in their lives. But there is help, instead of reaching for the bottle, reach for the phone and call AA, the largest support group in the world. We have all heard of it, and yes it does work, yours truly went through it a long time ago, and now I have been counseling others for over a decade. Their website has all the meetings available, call a local chapter and there might be a volunteer on-call. Tell them you are hurting. They are loving and compassionate people on the other end of the phone. If you went to one meeting and did not go again, then go to another. A lot of towns have them every night. If not try a different town. I even went to a different country for my first meeting! No matter who you are, getting help for your alcoholism is fundamental. As part of the rehabilitation process, you might need to complete a regular alcohol test to confirm that you have abstained from alcohol. You can learn more about alcohol drug tests by visiting countrywidetesting.com. Maybe you even know of someone that might need the help of the fellowship? Repost this message at will, or give us a confidential message back and we can guide you through the process. There is hope….all you have to do is reach out…
