Mike Bennett from Badger Newfoundland, a vet himself having served in Bosnia & Cyprus has the honour to drive this tribute back to his hometown where it will stay indefinitely. “This is for the people of Newfoundland & Labrador, and they are excited to see this” says Mike.
As Mike makes his long trek across Canada back home, he will make a few stops to families of the fallen. We will keep you posted and share his photos and stories along the way. When Mike was in Hamilton, he visited the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum and viewed the great Lancaster Bomber, and the HMCS Haida.
Fallen soldier WO Nolan’s mother, sister and husband, as well as Pte Kevin Kennedy’s father, aunt and uncle have viewed the tribute.
Chad Ingram, brother of fallen soldier Sgt. Vaughan Ingram, also saw the vehicle when Mike visited Trenton Sat. October 20.
We are proud to have an individual as great as Mike representing us out east and spreading our message – his heart is as big as they get, thank you Mike.
We will continue to keep you updated on Mike’s progress as he makes his way home – safe travels!
