On June 25 2011, Master Corporal Francis Roy from the Canadian Special Operations Regiment based at CFB Petawawa, Ontario was found dead from non-combat related wounds.
The incident is currently under investigation by the Canadian Forces National Investigations Service, and no further details are available at this time.

The body of MCpl. Francis Roy will be repatriated at 8 Wing/CFB Trenton on Wednesday at 2 pm.
