I just got off the phone with Kathie and she said the service today for Byron Greff was amazing.
Driving into the town of Lacombe all I could see was yellow ribbons and Canadian Flags everywere she said.
At the church she saw 5 bus loads of soldiers, and over 1,000 people come out to pay their respects.
The uncle of Byron Greff gave a speech and thanked Canadians from coast to coast for their letters of support and condolences in the last week.
He also thanked those along the Highway of Heroes for coming out as well.
Kathie presented a Canadian Heroes wreath which was placed right beside Byrons picture she said.
Kathie and Rod are now in Calgary visiting with families of the fallen were they will spend the night.
