A tribute video made by an 18 year old student in London, England for Canada’s last living Distinguished Service Medal holder. A very rare decoration awarded to only 116 Canadians in our Canadian military history.
The video offers a remembrance theme to Thomas Simpson’s ships HMCS SHAWINIGAN, HMCS TORONTO, and HMCS LA HULLOISE and offers several original photos taken by Mr. Tom Simpson himself as well as photos of memorials to the Battle of the Atlantic.
There are also numerous paintings by Halifax artist Shawna Mac and a bronze medallion made by Royal Canadian Navy sculptor and artist Christian Corbet.
